Maximizing independence requires an accessible and usable environment within your home that is free of hazards.  We will perform a room-by-room survey of your entrances and exits, living areas, recreation areas and personal living spaces (the places where most falls occur) to help you better understand how these zones may impact your safe and independent participation in everyday tasks and activities. This information is also incorporated into your Personalized Plan to provide you common sense solutions, enabling you peace of mind knowing that your environment will support you to age in place safely. Following the assessments, you will be provided with your current Falls Risk status and Home Safety status, including discussion and planning regarding the modifiable risk factors to enhance your safety at home while comfortably aging in place. Our CAPS (Certified Aging In Place) therapist will work with your contractor of choice. We have NO ties or financial arrangements with any other vendors. We will provide you with suggestions for cost-effective solutions, and guide you in the process of implementing these recommendations. In the event that you do not have a contractor, we will work with you to locate one who may best meet your needs.
