Hang-It-Wright Drywall, Inc., began in 2003, founded by James T. Wright, who has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. After initial work in residential construction, the company expanded into extensive commercial construction from small offices to multi-office structures, retail establishments and medical facilities. Services now include dry wall, metal framing, rough carpentry, insulation, acoustical tile, additions and remodeling for both residential and commercial construction. We have the resources and experience necessary to work with owners, contractors, or developers on residential projects ranging from individual, custom homes to multi-phase subdivisions, while simultaneously working with general contractors, subcontractors, or developers on commercial projects large and small. We are licensed and insured and one of the largest construction contractors in the Central Florida area, while still enjoying the reputation of quality workmanship performed in a timely manner. Based in Wildwood, Florida, we have worked on construction projects throughout Central Florida, including Lake, Levy, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Sumter and Volusia Counties. We are particularly proud of our extensive residential and commercial work in The Villages community in central Florida. James learned the trade during his high school years working in his father’s drywall business, and upon graduation, he entered the business full time as a journeyman, hanging drywall and learning metal framing. He later worked in California on large, custom homes and then on commercial construction. After a period in the oil industry while continuing in drywalling and metal framing during his “off” months he returned to Florida in 1995 and subcontracted his services to various drywall companies, hiring and supervising his own crews and gaining experience running an office and managing the business aspects of a company. In 2000, James returned to construction full-time, continuing to expand his subcontracting services and managerial skills until 2003, when he formed Hang-It-Wright Drywall, Inc. James has undergone the testing necessary to obtain Competency Cards from Marion and Sumter Counties as a Drywall/Specialty Contractor.
