Our purpose is simple: helping girls reach their potential through robust research and practical application. HIP4Change, LLC strives to provide community organizations and agencies with evidence-based, theoretically-driven risk reduction interventions. We want to help you make a positive difference in the lives of adolescents by applying scientifically rigorous research to practice. The HIPTeens curriculum includes lessons about STIs/HIV and protection methods and opportunities to practice partner negotiation and using a condom. Information to local HIV Testing and reproductive health care resources are integral curriculum components. HIPTeens uses interactive curriculum components including intensive skill building to help successfully reduce pregnancy rates among participants. HIPTeens participants develop skills to improve decision-making, identify trigger behaviors, and employ sexual risk reduction strategies. This is a great program. When I come here I don't just learn important things, I have fun too. It helps to think about things BEFORE you do it! I'm really glad I did this program. It helped me so much with my self-esteem and confidence and being able to deal with all kinds of relationships I have with people and myself. [The program] has helped me to become more open to talking about safe sex and become more open with my sex life. I used to not talk about many of the topics with my partner, but now I could talk openly with my partner about sex. I believe this is a good project.
