Based out of West Palm Beach in South Florida, HEPS Energy has been privately owned and managed by its founder Abel D. Echemendia, as well as his two sons Abel J. Echemendia Jr. and Daniel S. Echemendia. Having spent the last 8 years working together on everything from research and design to patent and competition application packages, it is safe to say that this widely varied team is well versed in the field of renewable energy. Majority business owner and company president Spent the last 30 years working in various fields of construction including residential, commercial, marine, and RV. Inventor of the HEPS Windmill and founder of the HEPS Energy LLC. Currently heads all research and development as well as product design. A graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University earning his degree in Management and Economics. He has also studied at Audencia Ecole de Management in Nantes, France learning studying European management, economics, and marketing. Abel Jr. is currently in charge of business operations, technology and computer systems, as well as customer relations. A graduate of the University of Florida, having studied economics. Daniel is in charge of company finances and accounting as well as other business operations. Having previously been partnered with the University of Florida's GatorNest team, this company had the privilege of being personally selected to work with both university professors as well as graduate level students on aspects of engineering as well as business development. Still maintaining a connection with the University of Florida will allow HEPS Energy to have access to the Wind Speed Testing facility at a decreased cost for future testing. HEPS Energy is currently fine tuning its designs and running comparative analysis against competitor windmills. Numerous trials have shown significant gains in torque and power output, while at the same time simplifying the windmill design and decreasing the need for maintenance.
