From the beginning, in the early 1990’s, our mission has been to grow top quality trees. Roger Hensley started out growing various woody ornamentals for the local trade. As time went by, the nursery moved away from the production of woody ornamentals and started specializing in the production of containerized Leyland cypress (Cupressocyparis leylandii) trees. As the demand grew for quality Leyland cypress, so did we. In 2003 Rogers son, Jamie, came on board to help with the expanding nursery. We have grown from just a few acres to over 30 acres of containerized Leyland cypress. We are a family owned and operated wholesale nursery taking pride in growing quality products and look forward to long lasting relationships with our customers. Established in 1994, Hensley’s Nursery is family owned and operated by Jamie Hensley. Specializing in Leyland Cypress, Hensley’s Nursery is a wholesale only operation with over 30 acres of production featuring containerized Leyland Cypress ( Cupressocyparis leylandii) trees in 3,7, 15 and 30 gallon containers. While Leylands are our staple product, we now grow Thuja ‘Green Giant’, Blue point juniper, Carolina sapphire, and Crape myrtles including Tuscarora, Natchez, Muskogee, and Choctaw in 15 gallon containers. We believe in strong customer service and offering only the best product to the market. We pride ourselves on growing some of the best leyland cypress ( Cupressocyparis leylandii) in Florida and through out the southeast. These values have become the cornerstone of Hensley’s Nursery and the source of its great success.
