HELPING HANDS OF BREVARD, LLC, Merritt Island

Stacey Dehn, CEO and Founder of Helping Hands of Brevard, has over 25 years of experience in the human services field. In 1992, Stacey began working in a medical daycare unit. It was there, she was trained by a registered nurse to provide medical care to clients who were severely handicapped and suffered from many ailments. Her evenings were spent working in several medical group homes, monitoring medical equipment, providing wound care, and handling the personal care needs of the residents. In 1995, Stacey began working with her first Alzheimer’s client. It was while Stacey was working in the Home Health Care Field that she noticed a tremendous need. Families needed help not only with their loved ones, but with life’s little things too. Errands could not be completed, bills were paid late, and potential funding was lost due to incomplete paperwork. The challenges and expectations within families was hard enough. Add a disabled child, an aging parent, or a newborn to the mix and becoming overwhelmed is a daily occurrence. Family caregivers become exhausted and many times neglect their own needs. With much thought and after providing services to well over one hundred families, Stacey was able to launch Helping Hands of Brevard in 2015. The mission of Helping Hands, is to provide wrap around services to individuals as well as families so they may function better in their home.
