Helping Hand Landscaping
Helping Hand Landscaping has grown over the past several years and customers also contract with Leo Smith of Labor and More. Jim and Leo still enjoy it when the clients help with the projects as much or as little as they like. Helping Hand Landscaping, LLC., was started in 2006 after seeing how much friends were spending on landscaping projects and how unhappy they were with the changes, some they didn’t even want. So I started helping them and they told me I should start a business helping people full-time with their landscaping, patios, water features and more. So, here I am several years later with the main reasons for the business still intact; helping people enjoy their piece of nature and teaching them so they are knowledgeable and can make informed decisions on enhancements they want to make. Many clients wanted to add hardscapes such as large patios, rock walls, stairs and retaining walls so I asked my good friend Leo if he wanted to bring his construction knowledge and join us. Together, we make innovative and eclectic field stone, broken stone walls, aquascapes, patios, firepits, sculptures and more.
We never tire of having people say. "this is the most unique stonework I have seen." We stil listen to our clients about what they want to do and guide them in the decision process. We don’t just automatically rip everything out, throw it away and start from scratch, if they want to keep a plant and it is healthy we will help them keep it and work around it. Or, if they want to move it to another location, we can do that too.
Helping Hand Landscaping, LLC, offers a unique way of completing a job. Either working side-by-side with the owners or independently.
Unlike other businesses, Helping Hand
lets the owners help
Helping Hand Landscaping and Labor and More work hard to contain costs so savings can be passed down to the client. Some ways we do this is by not bringing in heavy equipment that tears up existing landscapes. Another way is we don't overplant areas to make more money but allow space for growth so the customers don't have to redo everything in a few years because of overgrowth. Teaching clients how to maintain, care for and recognize problems helps save money in the long run as problems and pests are taken care of in their early stages. We also don't advertise in the traditional ways, thus lowering overhead. Word of mouth and referrals are the primary way we get new business as we feel client recommendations are the highest form of flattery.
