Crystal Nasser, LCSW, Registered Play Therapist and Infant Mental Health Specialist, has extensive clinical experience with young children, and in developing and conducting training programs for mental health professionals in school and private practice settings. Through play and filial therapies, Crystal provides counseling to parents/caregivers and their children who find themselves amidst varied emotional and behavioral challenges. These early intervention techniques often result in increased pro-social behavior that heightens the child’s self-confidence, self-control and school readiness. Crystal is a previous President of the Palm Beach-Martin County Chapter of the Florida Association of Play Therapy and has presented at countless seminars and workshops aimed in training other licensed mental health professionals, graduate level interns and child care providers in play therapy methodology throughout Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Play Therapy provides a safe place for children to safely confront and address their struggles. Very often, problematic behavior occurs when the child struggles to understand and express their concerns. Play Therapy allows the child to confront their problem, shift any inaccuracies in their perception of the problem and thus find more effective ways to deal with their situation.
