Oz Leon has served for the last nine years as the Health Language Chief Technology Officer, launching new solutions and enabling the move to SaaS product offerings. With more than 35 years of domestic and global success in commercial software development, online information services, and enterprise solutions, Oz brings to Health Language extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry and of delivering commercially successful software architectures, security models, and integrated, interoperable solutions. Prior to joining Health Language, he served as CTO of Jones International, Ltd. on their corporate executive management team, where he provided leadership for the technology direction and oversight of more than 20 business entities serving the e-commerce, software, education, and entertainment industries. Oz received his degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Dr. Chris Funk is a Medical Informaticist at Health Language. He recently graduated from the University of Colorado with a Ph.D. in Computational Biology. His dissertation focused on natural language processing (NLP) and identification of concepts from standard terminologies within unstructured text. Dr. Funk provides support for Content Analysts by automating workflows for more efficient content updates by using his expertise in NLP and machine learning to guide discussions that will help grow in its ability to meet customer terminology and unstructured text processing needs. Karen Kobelski join the team in 2003. With over 20 years of leadership experience, she brings a wealth of general management, strategic planning, product management, and operational excellence accomplishments to her role. As a strategy consultant for a leading business integrator, Karen helped large financial institutions formulate and implement new product innovations to retain and grow market share. As the Chief Administrative Officer for Deutsche Bank, she managed the global cash equities trading infrastructure. Since joining Wolters Kluwer in 2003 she has held several executive roles across the organization including General Manager of BizFilings, an online incorporation business where she introduced new branding, a new ecommerce platform, and customer service innovations. Karen joined the Health Division in 2012 and has led the client and professional service teams of the Clinical Surveillance and Terminology unit along with the Product Management organization for Pharmacy OneSource. She assumed the General Manager role for the Clinical Surveillance and Safety business in 2015. Karen holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University. She also has a Six Sigma Black Belt and is certified in Pragmatic Marketing.
