Bill is the CEO of Health Carousel which is the 20th largest healthcare staffing company in the United States. The company has enjoyed an 84% CAGR over the last 5 years, and in 2017, was recognized as a Fast 55 company in Cincinnati, # 624 on the INC 5000, and a Best Place to Work company in Cincinnati. Health Carousel operates three separately branded lines of business in nurse travel staffing, international staffing, and locum tenens physician staffing. Bill founded Health Carousel with a vision of providing a range of workforce solutions to help healthcare organizations better meet their goals in providing cost-effective, high-quality healthcare for patients. The company’s purpose is to improve lives and make healthcare work better for everyone. Bill gets the most satisfaction from his involvement in staff recruitment and development, business strategy and planning, and creation of customized workforce solutions for healthcare organizations. Prior to forming Health Carousel, Bill was the co-founder and chief operating officer of Health Personnel Options, which was one of largest and fastest growing travel staffing companies in the country, and a pioneer of Rapid Response staffing. HPO was acquired by On Assignment in 2002 and subsequently acquired by Medical Solutions. Prior to HPO, Bill was Managing Partner at R.E. Lowe Associates, which was a leading healthcare retained search company. Bill is a past president of the American Association of International Healthcare Recruitment (AAIHR). Bill earned an MBA (concentration in organizational development) and a BS in marketing; both from The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH). GO BUCKS! Ty Nelson is President of Health Carousel LLC. During his tenure, Health Carousel has grown to be the 33rd largest healthcare staffing firm in the United States and the second fastest-growing firm in 2015. His career spans 25 years, with experiences in a variety of industries, including healthcare staffing, healthcare management consulting and software development. Before becoming President, Ty served in a variety of roles at Health Carousel including responsibility for marketing, technology, recruiting and operations. John has over 20 years of experience in industries including asset management and assurance/business advisory. Prior to joining Health Carousel, John was the CFO at FSI Group, where he supervised all aspects of the finance, operations and administrative functions, including the modeling, structuring and settlement of various securities transactions. Earlier in his career, John worked in the audit practice at Arthur Andersen, serving a diversified client base including financial services, staffing, manufacturing, retail and marketing companies. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Xavier University, and is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs. In John’s role as the Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s Finance, Accounting, Operational and Reporting functions, and is an advocate for identifying process improvement opportunities. John works with the CEO and the owners of the company to evaluate and consummate mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances. As Chief People Officer and Vice President of Human Resources and a key member of the senior leadership team, Marijke has introduced an innovative employee engagement strategy to significantly enhance employee satisfaction, directly correlating to our employees’ performance and productivity. Marijke can often be heard in the hallways of the Health Carousel office saying, “It is all about the employee experience; our people are our number one priority and investment.” Before joining Health Carousel, Marijke built a successful career with Cincinnati Bell as the VP of Human Resources and with Proctor and Gamble. Her career has included a series of strategic leadership roles in sales, operations planning, mergers and acquisitions, recruiting, compensation, diversity and inclusion, change management, training and development. Marijke earned a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University. Other than the Health Carousel employees, Marijke’s priorities include her supportive husband Kirk, their three wonderful children, Connor, Kees, and Ryka, and the family’s English Bulldog Argus. Marijke also lives her passions by actively gives back to the community supporting causes such as research for juvenile diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and as a current board member of the Red Cross. When not working, Marijke enjoys traveling, photography, and hot yoga. John Sebastian is Chief Marketing Officer and SVP of Travel Nursing at Health Carousel and his passion is driving breakthrough growth. John has a career with broad business leadership and marketing experience, leading brand portfolios from $100M to $1.6B across multiple industries, ranging from Health & Beauty to Industrial Sales. He is an award-winning marketer and digital/e-commerce native, building killer brands like Old Spice and Febreze. He also has significant sales experience, leading sales organizations working with leading retailers, distributors, and health-care customers. Before joining Health Carousel, John served as Vice President and General Manager at Newell Brands and in a variety of leadership roles at Procter & Gamble including head of marketing and business strategy for P&G’s Personal Care category and leading P&G’s Walmart Sam’s Club Customer Team across their health, beauty and baby portfolio. John started his career as a consultant at Accenture, leading a variety of projects focused on process improvement and strategy development. John graduated from University of Notre Dame with a BBA. in accounting and earned an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Stephan M. Ross School of Business.
