Randy Hartley and Dean De Renzo founded Harley De Renzo Thoroughbreds in 1992. The Florida based company began as a pinhooking operation and has evolved into a full service breeding, training and sales facility. This successful partnership quickly outgrew its facility, moving twice to accommodate our growing needs has grown into one of the largest breeding and stallion operations in the state of Florida. Since beginning our stallion operation we have had the privilege to start the stud careers of Essence of Dubai, Is It True, Songandaprayer, Successful Appeal and Tiger Ridge. These are just a few that have made us known for our beautiful confirmation and top pedigreed stallions. Standing six stallions in the 2011 breeding season and working with a knowledgeable staff will assure an excellent cross for every mare in your breeding program. Belgravia, City Place, Full Mandate, Simon Pure, The Green Monkey and With Distinction will be standing the 2011 breeding season at Hartley De Renzo. Along with the success of our stallions we have developed a training program that has produced Grade 1 winners and classic contenders such as Silver Charm, Stormy Blues, Extra Heat, D'Wildcat, Greenwood Lake, Forest Heir, Forest Heiress and Balisian Beauty. Being one of the most successful pinhooking operations over the past 15 years, Hartley De Renzo continues to participate as a top-ranked consignor in the two- year- old in training sales. Selling the sale topper at OBS from 1997-2002, also again in 2004 with a colt by Tiger Ridge out of Notable Girl at the OBS March select sale of two year olds in training. Just a month later at the OBS April two- year- old sale we sold two sale topping homebred fillies by Tiger Ridge out of Fuzzy Risqué and Jet n' June. In 2001 Hartley De Renzo sold the highest- priced juvenile ever sold at an OBS sale. A colt by Dehere out of Sweet Gold sold for a record price of $1,050,000.00. We were also the consignor of the world-record $16-million juvenile sold at the 2006 Fasiq- Tipton Calder Select two-year-olds in training. The Green Monkey now standing here at Hartley De Renzo entered stud in 2009 and his first foals are yearlings of 2011. The Thoroughbred Market Watch survey lists Hartley De Renzo among North America's top five buyers, whose purchases earned over $12-million in purse money from 1995-1999. Dean De Renzo is an active board member of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeder's and Owner's Association.
