I am Captain Jamie Thomas. I was born in North Fort Myers, FL, where I grew up fishing the flats around Boca Grand Pass, Matlacha and Sanibel Island, catching snook, redfish, trout, tarpon, sharks and other fish. Later, I moved to the panhandle, where I have spent the last twenty-five years fishing the Forgotten Coast area. During all my time fishing, the most frequently asked question after any trip is always "What's the biggest fish you caught?" It's always a huge thrill to show off a big monster shark or other fish (or pictures of one, if it's catch and release)! This is why I started Hammerhead Hunters - to share the thrill of catching a really big fish with others. Florida is famous for it's fishing - what better way to spend a vacation here than catching the fish of a lifetime? Welcome to Hammerhead Hunters Charter Trophy Fishing with Captain Jamie Thomas. We have more than 25 years of experience fishing the Forgotten Coast area. Our charter fishing boat, "Sharkbite", is licensed to accommodate up to 6 people, but is also great for smaller, more intimate groups of 2 to 4. The Captain and one deckhand are present on all trips. Our fishing tours are the perfect adventure for family vacations, first fishing trips, father/son trips, corporate/business outings, birthdays, anniversaries, bachelor parties and more. No matter the occasion, we will strive to make it the trip of a lifetime! Hammerhead Hunters Charter Fishing We are happy to fish for the largest of monster fish on our Trophy fishing trips, or fish for smaller fish on our Bay/Gulf trips. We just want to see everyone who comes on a trip with us catch fish and have a wonderful experience! Our crew will gladly clean your catch and bag it up on ice ready for you to cook… we may even share one of our great recipes with you! Goliath grouper and many sharks are catch and release only; however, some sharks may be kept at the Captain's approval according to state regulations. We are always happy to recommend a local taxidermist who can create an identical “release mounted trophy”, so that your trophy fish and catch of a lifetime can be kept for a lifetime. The taxidermist can make your catch come to life, full of color and ready to jump into action!
