Greg Hamilton is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Florida. Raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Mr. Hamilton obtained a BS in Mathematics from Grove City College and a BS in Accounting from the University of South Florida. Prior to opening his practice he served as a Staff Accountant at two Tampa CPA firms. His broad range of corporate experience and teaching expertise, as well as a being a business owner himself, makes him uniquely qualified to relate to his client’s needs and provide targeted business advice. Mr. Hamilton is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and a Registered Real Estate Broker. Active in his community he served as President of the Brandon Rotary, was an adjunct Professor at the University of Tampa and a Major in the Army National Guard. Mr. Hamilton and his wife of 40 years, Kathy, have two sons who graduated from the University of Florida.  Mr. Hamilton retired in 2016, but continues to work during tax season. Rose Lesniak has been with Hamilton & Phillips LLC since 2003. Her skills as an office manager for more than 27 years with another company make her highly qualified for the many hats she wears at Hamilton & Phillips LLC. When she isn't busy making sure things run smoothly in the office, she travels at every opportunity, shops, and is learning to play golf. Laura Thompson was employed by Donald Pate, EA before joining Hamilton & Phillips LLC, in 1997 when Don's firm was acquired by Hamilton & Phillips LLC.  She graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Accounting before earning her MBA from Samford University. After 19 years of living in the Tampa Bay area, she relocated to Texas where she continues to work remotely for our firm. Laura enjoys spending time with her children, reading, and walking whenever she gets the chance. Elvira Weaver joined our firm as an Enrolled Agent (EA) in 1997 when Hamilton & Phillips LLC acquired the company of Donald Pate, EA. She had been employed by Mr. Pate since 1991. Originally from Illinois, she moved to Florida with her husband and two young children in 1974. Now widowed, she enjoys reading, writing, movies, and spending time with her friends. Her short stories have appeared in various magazines. and in every state.  We are a full service accounting firm providing services including tax, bookkeeping, audit, and Quickbooks support.
