John J. Cox, III graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Technology. He has been a part of Halfacre Construction Company since he was 14 years old. In 2001, he became president of the company and in 2007 he became the sole owner of Halfacre Construction Company. Since then he has served on the Board of Directors of The Argus Foundation, Cadence Bank, Gulf Coast Builders Exchange, Charlotte County Economic Development Council, Sarasota County Economic Development Council, Suncoast Charities for Children, Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children, Inc. and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Construction Industry Licensing Board. Mr. Cox has been involved in many local development projects including the Sarasota International Trade Center. Jack resides in Sarasota with his wife and 2 children. Reed has been with Halfacre Construction Company for over 17 years and has over 20 years of construction experience. Reed oversees all aspects of project budgets and schedules, providing direction and resolving issues as they arise. His experience began in the field advancing from superintendent, to estimator, to project manager, to Vice President. Reed has extensive experience in overseeing continuing contract CM at Risk work in both renovation of existing facilities and construction of new work. The majority of these projects have been completed under highly occupied, tight site conditions. Most have required very strict budget, schedule and project reporting requirements. Reed’s capability to quickly assess client project requests, put together quick, accurate pricing, assess manpower needs and develop schedule/site logistics plans for handling the work will fit well in handling the all types of projects. Greg Witt has been with Halfacre Construction since 2004 and oversees his projects from start to finish. He develops construction schedules and budgets and works closely with the team to ensure the project remains on schedule and in budget. He assists with cost estimating during preconstruction and provides value engineering services throughout the project. Greg is a third generation Manatee County Resident.
