In what ways can my consumption be affected by water pressure? The amount of water that is thrust through the system increases with the stronger the force of pressure that is in a system. The steadily higher provider pressure readings are being noticed more often as the provider expands, meaning greater amounts of water must be sent through the pipes that are already in place. It would be necessary to completely exchange the pipes for bigger pipes in order to send more water through the pipes, which is usually not a practical choice; otherwise the pressure must be increased. Since water fixtures are only able to handle a maximum pressure of 65 PSI, this has created an issue far and wide, but is most apparent in the more dated facilities considering the absence of a pressure regulator and outdated water fixtures that inadequately conserve water. Does my water contain air? What causes air to enter into the water line? How does the air cost me money? How can I save money with ECO-FLO? What amount of money will I be able to save? Can air still enter the water meter? Is ECO-FLO going to affect my water pressure? Are there any legal or safety issues when installing ECO-FLO? Are ECO-FLO dependable and consistent? Shouldn’t all water meters have ECO-FLO technology installed on them? For what purpose is a ECO-FLO made custom? What will it cost to install a ECO-FLO and is it complicated to install? Are ECO-FLO, ECO-FLO really functional? What is ECO-FLO guarantee exactly? What is covered under ECO-FLO warranty? 95% of water meters globally are designed to measure volume (both liquid and air). Since these positive displacement meters do not have a mechanism to distinguish water from air, you are being charged for the air too. Air can enter the water supply system through multiple sources like tiny cracks along several miles of the water lines, supply interruptions and breakages in the lines. Water flowing through the meter activates an internal paddle that spins to measure the volume of water consumed. The opening & closing of fixtures, fluctuations in water providers pressures or flow variability, causes a drop in your water pressure and creates a surge in the flow. This surge causes over spinning of your meter, inflating your readings, and overcharges you for water. Due to the growing demand for water, Utilities are increasing their pressures and exceeding the 65 psi standard. This deviation causes water surges through ageing fixtures, causing leaks through gaskets and seals. In addition to water loss, there is increased maintenance costs and risk of equipment failures. The surges & high pressure pushed by municipalities increase the flow to the fixtures, although the end user does not notice the change, it results in over consumption. This waste is not good for you or the environment.
