In 1948, Tom & Carol Gustafson started GUSTAFSON PAINTERS, a Residential and Commercial painting business in Ft. Lauderdale. Decades of hard work and honest dealings with neighbors and businesses in Broward County’s developing communities built the solid Gustafson reputation that persists today, 64 years later. Son Mike Gustafson joined his parents’ growing business in 1974 opening the Roofing division and expansion into Dade County and Palm Beach County. With 40 years experience, Mike continues to lead the company into the future as president of Gustafson Industries. Gustafson Industries has installed or repaired over 60,000 roofs on homes and businesses… The tradition continues. Every family member begins on the roof tops, learning the trade up close as apprentices to the senior team members. Today, the third Gustafson generation is on the job learning the business ‘from the roof down.’ It’s where Ryan Gustafson started 12 years ago, progressing now to GI Roofers Estimator. Jeb (Gustafson) Barr, is the newest family member up on the roofs. Both Ryan and Jeb have the same commitment to craftsmanship, honesty and professionalism as their father and Uncle Mike, and their grandfather Tom Gustafson instilled since 1948.
