Founded in 1999 by Walt Chancey, Gulf Coastal Development, Inc. (GCD) has been involved in the development and design of high-end residential properties in unique locations. GCD in association with Chancey Design Partnership, is currently developing Senior Housing projects, High Rise Condominiums, Mixed Use projects and New Urbanist neighborhoods in America. Gulf Coastal Development’s designs encompass the many faces of residential design including condominium hotels, resorts, low and mid rise condominiums, mixed-use projects, and high-end single family homes. As a development firm with a background in architecture and interior design, GCD has an intuitive edge that understands how to select the most discriminating properties in the best markets to create the ultimate home for 50 families or one. In addition to his duties as President of Gulf Coastal Development, Inc., he is also the Senior Managing Partner of as well, an award-winning interior design firm founded by Sandra Chancey, his wife and Catherine Christie- Zanghi.
