Prior to creating Grocho Consulting, Michael Grochowski graduated from North Carolina State University and began his career as a structural engineer with a multidiscipline engineering firm in Florida. During the process of obtaining professional licensure, Mr. Grochowski gradually assumed leadership and project management roles at design-build and A&E firms. Mr. Grochowski offers a wealth of experience in the design of commercial, industrial, residential, retail, and defense structures. His experience also includes the design and evaluation of buildings and structures in high wind and high seismic areas. Grocho Consulting seeks design solutions that reduce negative impacts on the environment and the health and comfort of building occupants; thereby improving building performance. The basic objectives of sustainability are to reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize waste, and create healthy, productive environments. Grocho Consulting knows not all solutions are cost effective. As such, we evaluate design solutions not only from a code compliance perspective, but also from a cost, schedule, installation and maintenance perspective. Though we prefer to develop design concepts early in a project's life, we are capable of making a design impact during any phase of a project.
