OUR MISSION Grind Time Baseball is dedicated to providing the highest level baseball instruction and development for everyone – from beginners to accomplished players. In addition, we are committed to improving and refining not only baseball knowledge, skills, athleticism, and performance – but also life essentials. His accomplishments as a coach included teams that won a State Title in 2004, earned a State Final-Four berth in 2005 and made a Regional Finals appearance in 2006. In addition, over 20 players associated with his efforts went on to play college baseball – with several being drafted and two making it to the Major Leagues. During his junior year a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease threw him a nasty change up. Significant weight loss, strength decrease, and required treatments meant less than desirable junior and senior seasons. Surgery sent the disease into remission but suddenly the major D1 schools quit corresponding and nothing happened on draft day. Coach Mike was forced to make a decision; quit or “grind.” The end of a playing career proved to be the beginning of something new. All of us at Grind Time Baseball share Coach Mike’s passion for the game and his philosophy of “grinding it out.” OUR PHILOSOPHY Baseball mirrors life in many ways. We believe that the game provides an excellent vehicle for communicating and teaching essential life skills. For that reason we abide by a code of conduct.
