We won Green Business of The Year from the City of Gainesville!!!! WOOHOO!!! We have chosen to clean homes and offices with safer, healthier cleaning products. We hire based on integrity, and since we started in April 2013, we still have never had any incidents of property theft! We aim to provide professional cleaning service. Our service is trustworthy, family friendly, high quality, reliable, and eco-friendly. Mary Held (Owner) often filled her time reading. She found an article in Entrepreneur. The article was about starting a green cleaning service! Having two toddlers already, Mary understood the importance of using healthier, non-toxic cleaning products. Gainesville seemed very environmentally conscious. A green house cleaning service seemed like the perfect fit. She decided to give it a shot. In April 2013, a Gainesville FL “ cleaning service was born! Green Clean Homes immediately gained popularity in the local Gainesville community. Mary now has 3 young beautiful children and is a single mother. She continues to grow and manage her business. Mary also served on the City Beautification Board and the Nature Centers Commission for the City of Gainesville. Mary also is an artist and writer. She has written articles for local magazines, newspaper articles, and most recently, an international art magazine based out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. My grandfather was a very ambitious business man. He began the building and development of Oakbrook, Illinois, and several other major undertakings. I learned from him what it means to be an ambitious, well reputed business person. He was married to my late grandmother, Dee Held. They had 8 children. Bob was a calculated risk taker, an extremely generous and charitable person. I very much admired and respected my grandfather. I consider him the most ambitious businessperson I’ve ever known, as well as the most charitable. If the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, I’ve got a great future ahead of me!!! 🙂 Hi, my name is Mary Held. I started Green Clean Homes in April 2013 as a stay at home mom, with about $50 worth of cleaning supplies and a prayer. We continue to grow! We are Gainesville’s Green Business of The Year Award Winner (awarded by The Mayor, March 2017). We still have no incidents of property theft. I am a mom of 3 amazing kids, and I grow and manage Green Clean Homes! When I’m not being a mom or working, I love to be in nature, read, write, and paint. Where is Green Clean Homes headed? Well, I’m super passionate about purchasing the freedom of abused kids out of sex trafficking. It’s my dream to rescue and rehabilitate 1,000,000 children from the sex trafficking industry. That, combined with excellent service, is the mission of Green Clean Homes. We are striving to go from good to great every day. As a home and office cleaning service, we are committed to providing a healthier, safer alternative to the residents and business owners of Gainesville, FL. We specialize in green cleaning! Why? Because we What’s green cleaning? Basically, we’re a natural maid service. We focus on high quality without using toxic chemicals. We also focus on being sustainable and fair in other ways. Our maids start at $10 per hour and our top maids earn over $15 per hour. We also have trees planted (with We Are Neutral) to offset the amount of electricity and gas we use. We’re not perfect, (is anyone?) but we try to be as sustainable as possible and as natural as possible. Want us to use traditional cleaning products?
