Grata Designs LLC is the brainchild of sisters Juliana and Daniela, whose passion for artistry took root early on through their achievements in dance, synchronized swimming, and performance arts. The siblings officially founded the company on April 15, 2015, in Jacksonville, Florida. Growing up with artistic flair, they carried their competitive spirit from Latin American competitions into the world of design. Juliana moved to the U.S. in 2000 and by 2006 had made Jacksonville her home. Her love for fashion blossomed as she managed projects in the industry while nurturing early ideas that would lead to Grata Designs. The company began with custom-designed products including purses, hats, pillows, and costume apparel modifications. She also pursued pole fitness, working with groups like VIP Mavens and Elevated Aerial Dance alongside her design endeavors. Daniela spent time in Brazil until 2013, focusing on Sports Psychology studies while cultivating a flair for fashion. After earning a degree in Fashion Design in 2011, she started producing custom athletic wear and costumes, even developing a line of fashionable pet apparel! Once in the U.S., she furthered her interest by becoming a pole fitness instructor at Bittersweet Studios and a sports consultant who offers mental coaching. Their collaboration created Grata Designs with an ethos centered around functionality and stylish appeal. Apparel is crafted considering aesthetics, comfort, and superior performance-a reflection of their name 'Grata,' meaning gratitude in Portuguese, signifying appreciation for life opportunities which they enthusiastically share through dance, music, and beauty.
