This non-profit program sets out to enrich the lives of children by awarding grants that can improve their education, social development and overall quality of life. To find out more about the GPD Group Employees’ Foundation, visit On Thursday, October 27, a ribbon cutting ceremony took place for the new roundabout at the intersection of Alkire Road and Darby Creek Drive in Pleasant Township, Ohio. GPD’s team joined the Franklin County Engineer’s Office, Double Z Construction Company, and many others who had involvement in the project to celebrate the intersection opening. This is the western-most roundabout in Franklin County and GPD’s second roundabout project with the County Engineer’s Office. Unique to this project, our team had to account for the rural surroundings and design it wide enough to accommodate large farm equipment (e.g., a combine). This $2.2 million intersection reconfiguration consisted of a single-lane modern roundabout within the protected Big Darby watershed. Beginning in 2013, GPD provided an array of services that included roundabout design, drainage, best management practices (BMP), stormwater management in compliance with the Big Darby Accord, environmental services, geotechnical services, street lighting design, right of way plan development, stormwater pollution prevention, topographic surveys, traffic engineering, and utility engineering.
