GOODWILL COMMUNICATIONS, INC, FORT LAUDERDALE

You can tell a lot about a consulting firm by looking at the kind of organizations they have served. We have had the privilege of working with 170 of the largest non-profits and government agencies in the country over the past three decades, and to see a list of them, go to: Core Values are one of the things that most companies do not talk about, because they just assume that they exist. However, we have codified our core values, so that our employees and our production partners never forget why we exist, which is to give our clients the best service possible, while staying on time and under budget. To see the values that guide our company, go to: Our two most senior executives have managed numerous national PSA campaigns, with extensive ad agency experience. To see bios on our key company employees, go to: We have provided services to 53 U.S. government agencies. To learn more about this work, go to: We do not just pay lip service to the field of public service advertising; we practice what we preach by creating PSA campaigns, getting our partners to provide pro-bono services to important social issues, or provide a variety of services at no cost to organizations which can not afford to launch campaigns on their own. Learn more at: Bill Goodwill heads the team of talented people who make the trains run on time. Prior to starting his own firm, Bill spent 15 years working in various advertising and public relations positions, including serving as Deputy Director of the “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk Campaign” for the U.S. Department of Transportation. He also managed the national recruiting advertising program for the U.S. Coast Guard. James Baumann is the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Client Services for Goodwill Communications. James has over 25 years of experience in account management, media, public service, and non-profit client side roles. Barbara Nitschke, who has been with the firm for over 20 years, is the engineer who makes the trains run on time. Her official title is V.P. Administration and Evaluation. But in reality, she is involved in all client projects, from vendor coordination, to managing the entire campaign evaluation process. Goodwill Communications, is a SDVOSB (Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business), and our principal is a graduate of the Veterans Institute for Procurement. We have been providing services to the federal government for nearly 30 years and have worked with 54 different government agencies. The services we provide to government agencies range from campaign positioning, focus groups, creative production and PSA distribution/evaluation in all media. I worked with Goodwill Communications for 5 years when managing the PSA campaigns for the Peace Corps. During the seven years that Goodwill Communications distributed Peace Corps PSAs, we generated 782,000 leads, and 18,028 Volunteers actually joined. While there was an active direct mail program and college recruiting efforts during this time, paid advertising was minimal, meaning that PSAs contributed to the lion’s share of recruiting leads. What more can I say about their work? We have worked with Goodwill Communications since 1990, and there is very little in the world of public service advertising that they have not done for our agency. They have orchestrated focus group sessions; they handled a test of theater advertising in 40 theaters and conducted surveys on effectiveness; they coordinated a joint campaign with another of their clients to promote savings; and they developed tools for our field public affairs outreach staff to use in local communities. Beyond that, they did a great job with PSA distribution. According to Nielsen, our “Quiz Show” TV PSA generated over 55,000 airplays due to their marketing efforts. All together their work has generated just under $84 million in verified advertising support for SSA. I managed the Audio-Visual Department for the Navy Recruiting Command when Goodwill Communications was hired to revamp our entire PSA program in 1985. They did an incredible job in terms of lowering our costs, developing more strategic distribution plans, re-positioning our PSAs to get more airtime, and using new tools to evaluate impact. Because they have experience in paid advertising – which very few distributors have – that helped us to integrate the PSA program into our overall advertising program and attain our recruiting goals. I have been associated with Goodwill Communications for nearly 15 years. They have been a great resource for reporting television, radio and print usage. They have also served as a creative consultant, providing counsel on media creativity. If you want a first class organization, you need to contact Bill Goodwill and his associates. His results oriented company will provide you with what you are looking for in social media, media consultation and the like. Goodwill Communications is always on the cutting edge of media technology. Saving Childrens Lives – Consumer Product Safety Commission – Pool Safety Helping Our Veterans – DAV – Disabled American Veterans Sometimes when distributing a PSA campaign, the stars are all in alignment. The quality of the creative production is excellent…the PSA was produced in various lengths…it has a local angle….it involves both young people, as well as sports mentors, and it was sponsored by a very respected national human services organization. When you get a PSA with these qualities, then you know it is going to be a hit with the media. I worked with Goodwill Communications for 5 years when managing the PSA campaigns for the Peace Corps.
