Godwin Hardware was built in West Michigan, for West Michigan homeowners and businesses. Our flagship store still stands in Godwin Heights, the Grand Rapids neighborhood that gave us our name. We’ve made lots of improvements since 1955, but it’s still an “old-fashioned” hardware store in many respects – stocked with a huge assortment of DIY and contractor essentials, and staffed by people who can tell you exactly what you need and how you need to install it. Steve did a great job! He explained everything he would be doing and wore little booties to protect my carpets and flooring. Who We Are Word of Red’s talent with pipes and fixtures soon spread – and by 1957, he was working with area real estate developers to install new plumbing into area homes and businesses. That work drove him to build the largest inventory of plumbing parts on this side of the state, a collection that gave rise to the famous slogan we debuted in the late 60s: “Godwin’s Got It!”   We are a one-stop source for all your Very professional, went above and beyond expectations. Very pleased with the service provided. Grand Rapids and West Michigan have supported our business for 60 years, so we feel a responsibility to give back to the community. We do so in many ways – including financial contributions, material donations and volunteering. Over the years, we’ve sponsored and supported organizations in and around West Michigan as well as organziations around the world! The Ebenezer Discipleship Training Center is located in Haiti and it's mission is to empower and enable the indigenious church in Haiti through discipleship, job creation, and self sustainability. Changing Haiti from the inside out, replacing the dependency on man, to total dependence on God.  This organization is special to us here at Godwin, as one of our employees plays are large role in the on going leadership of this organziation. He takes many trips to Haiti each year to help this organziation be successful and to help the people of Haiti. One area that he helps them with specifically is the Haitian Harvest Initivative. I was able to buy clothes without first considering how they would look after a washing in the old (iron-stained) water. I even bought white sheets! I want to say that the guys you put out here, have been top notch, and have been a major reason that we have accelerated the schedule, and will be finishing earlier than expected. Tony and Joel work very well together, and the addition of Ron only elevated the quantity and respectability of your team. We had a fast track project with an extremely tight schedule, and your guys never complained about the workload, never uttered anything negative about a different trade, and even went out of their way to assist other trades and helped make someone else's job easier. They made the schedule attainable without any effort.  Working on very old plumbing is always a challenge; knowing the guys at Godwin will help you conquer those dreadful repairs is a good thing to fall back on.
