About the Owners of Go Life Savers, LLC About the Owners of Go Life Savers, LLC : Mark founded Go Life Savers, LLC in 2001 in response to the need for effective workplace health and safety training. Mark realized the state of wellness in America and knew that a company was needed which focused on providing preventive healthcare, cardiac care, and preventive health and safety solutions to individuals, businesses, organizations, and communities. He is a certified BLS instructor for the American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute, American Red Cross, and Emergency Care & Safety Institute. As AHA Training Center Faculty and Training Center Director, Mark enjoys his role as teacher, coach, mentor, and motivator to new and veteran CPR AED First Aid instructors. Mark is currently serving children, adolescents, and their families as a psychiatric/mental health nurse and RN manager with Universal Health Services along with leading BLS Provider, Heartsaver® CPR AED First Aid, Blood borne/Airborne Pathogens, & Babysitter classes to the public. Mark and his team provide a high-quality classroom education intertwined with practical hands-on experience. According to his peers, Mark is a highly organized, detail-oriented person who facilitates group interaction through effective communication, support, hands-on leadership, motivation, inspiration, and effective feedback. Mark attended the University of Rio Grande where he studied Physical Education and Physical Science. While at the University of Rio Grande, he participated on the indoor/outdoor track and field team and qualified for the National Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Most importantly, Rio Grande is where he met his wife Michele. In August 1992 he graduated from Malone University with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. In May of 2011 he graduated from Ashford University with a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. In December 2013 he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Union University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a concentration in Executive Leadership at Loyola University New Orleans. Mark is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Golden Key International Honour Society. Mark appreciates the need for our citizens to be educated in proper nutrition, physical activity, and healthy lifestyle behaviors. Mark incorporates a helpful and informative approach within his teaching methods that clearly communicates the goals of reducing cardiovascular disease, stroke, and obesity. Mark enjoys working within the community helping to build strong partnerships and collaborations that build strong youth, strong families, and strong communities. Mark’s significant accomplishments include serving with a team of leaders who were awarded a 1.2 million dollar 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, establishing two youth wellness centers and after school educational enrichment centers, and receiving the Distinguished Service Award from the Twin City Chamber of Commerce. Mark has served or is currently serving as a director, committee member, and/or volunteer with the American Heart Association, Chamber of Commerce, local civic organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kiwanis, Civitan, YMCA of the USA, Camp Good Grief, CrossLink Memphis, Page Robbins Adult Day Care Center, Trinity Hospice House, and Financial Peace University.
