Back in 1994, Alex Michael Dargham had a vision: to start his own engineering consulting firm in Florida. Thus, Global Engineering & Contracting, Inc., was born out of the entrepreneurial spirit of Alex PE, CGC, who is not just the founder but also sits at its helm today. In those early days, it went by the name Global Engineering, Inc., until 2003 when they earned a big boost-landing a Certified General Contractor (CGC) Type "A" license. This was like leveling up their game! Naturally, they added "& Contracting" to their title to showcase how much they’ve grown. Today, they’re based right here in Sarasota, Florida, but this isn’t just your typical local engineering firm. They’re operating well beyond these borders-statewide, nationwide, and even dipping their toes into international waters. Their know-how spans an impressive array of engineering fields: Water & Wastewater, Civil, Environmental, Structural, Transportation and Marine Engineering, to name a few.
