Principals will generally have a PhD or other graduate degree and be recognized, especially by courts or regulatory authorities, as experts in their field. We offer generous variable compensation as well as benefits. We are seeking a Full-Time Economist to join our Antitrust/Competition Policy practice. The candidate should have a PhD in Economics (or has sufficiently completed all PhD coursework) from a leading university. The ideal candidate would have one or two years of experience in litigation consulting or similar practical experience, but this is not a requirement. The Economist will assist GlobalEcon’s team in all aspects of its antitrust engagements, including mergers, monopolization and abuse of dominance, horizontal coordination and class certification. Specific job requirements include: We are looking for candidates with previous research or consulting experience in the areas of antitrust, labor economics, statistics, finance and/or valuation. Candidates must have a PhD in Economics or a similar discipline. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and a statistical programming language (e.g., SAS, STATA). Extensive economic modeling experience required. We are looking for SAS programmers with 2-5 years of work experience who have routinely programed with large datasets and have written and developed code. In addition, the candidate must have obtained their BA or MA ideally in math, statistics, finance, economics, or a similar quantitative discipline. We are looking for both recent college graduates and candidates with 1-2 years of work experience who can provide research assistance and economic support on projects related to securities, antitrust, accounting, valuation, intellectual property, and labor. BA or MA in highly quantitative discipline (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Mathematics) required. He was also previously Senior Vice President at NERA (1989-2004) where he was a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Board of Directors. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Prior to founding Global Economics Group, Mr. Hickey was Founder of Chicago Partners and served as President for over 12 years. He subsequently founded Winnemac Consulting, which is now part of the Global Economics Group. He has actively managed large litigation projects. His consulting experience includes valuation, intellectual property damages and licensing, corporate governance, strategic consulting for start-up companies, and international trade economics. He serves and has served on a number of early-stage company boards. Prior to founding Global Economics Group, Mr. Coffman founded Winnemac Consulting where he served as President for 3 years. Chad has over 15 years of experience at directing and managing large and complex litigation consulting matters across a wide variety of disciplines. Prior to founding Winnemac, Chad was a Principal at Chicago Partners, LLC. Chad has a significant national practice in securities and valuation. He also often serves as a neutral expert engaged by prominent mediators in securities, valuation, and antitrust matters.
