Glander International Bunkering employees volunteered at charitable organisations in their local communities, to walk in the shoes of those less fortunate. From feeding hurricane victims to providing clothing, educational facilities and hot meals at a slum in India, our public-spirited team contributed to an array of worthy causes across the world. We hosted an Iftar meal for 600 migrant workers in the heart of Bur Dubai on June 1. During the 30 days of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, the Iftar meal marks the breaking of the fast at sunset, in the company of family and friends. This is a non-profit, voluntary organisation that aims to make a difference in the lives of the urban and rural poor, especially children. Its main initiative is Soup Kitchen, which provides non-formal education and a safe and stimulating learning environment for street children. This centre aims to provide high quality, integrated education services and therapies for children with special needs. Its purpose is to help children to develop maximum independence and participation in their communities.
