In 1947, my grandfather, Warren Germain left Dearborn, Michigan as Henry Ford’s personal accountant to open one of the first Mercury dealership in Bexley, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. Warren was fulfilling Mr. Ford’s desire to make automobile purchases more accessible outside of Detroit. My father, Bob Sr., expanded the family business to Naples, Florida in the late 1970s. I joined my brothers in the family business after graduating from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. I became President and CEO in 1995. Since then we have grown our company by partnering with manufacturers that I am proud of and today we have thirteen franchises and sixteen stores in five markets across Michigan (Ann Arbor), Ohio (Columbus and Beavercreek) and Florida (Naples and Sarasota). I am passionate about providing a place where over 1000 associates can grow professionally in their careers and support their families. The Company would not be where it is today without the dedication and talent of our associates and I believe we attract the best. I am blessed that our family business has attracted the fourth generation and love getting to work with my children who all share my passion for our industry and brand. My children, Jessica, Zach, and Austin, continue to develop their skills and knowledge through various positions and experiences around the business. They enjoy being spokespeople for the franchises in commercials, meeting customers, and working alongside our associates. I am honored that our Company has been named the “Best Auto Dealer” by readers of 614 Magazine each year from 2010-2015. We are also listed on the Wards e-Dealer Top 100 list, which ranks dealerships across the entire U.S. based on total internet sales volume for both new and used vehicles. With almost seventy-years in business, our Company is deeply rooted in the communities in which we are located.
