About GeoSurvey GeoSurvey is a team of Professional Land Surveyors committed to providing quality, accurate, and cost effective land surveying and laser scanning services for our clients. Established in 1996, we have a long history of providing quality land surveying services throughout the Southeastern U.S. and especially in the Atlanta, GA region. We routinely provide all types of surveys, including ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, construction layout services, and laser scanning services throughout the Southeastern US. Our service area includes the states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee. Based in Marietta, GA, just northwest of Atlanta, GA, we are conveniently and centrally located to our service area. We will utilize the latest available technology to process our data and will educate ourselves effectively in the use of this technology. Trent Turk is responsible for and provides direction to principals, survey project managers and other staff in the daily operation of GeoSurvey, Ltd. He oversees all aspects of survey business management, including marketing, problem resolution, administration, and human resources. He provides advice to department heads on issues related to project and personnel management. Trent is involved in boundary related decisions made within the company and provides technical review for completed projects. He has extensive knowledge of route, boundary and topographic surveys, especially those conforming to client’s and ALTA/ACSM standards. Trent is licensed in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee. He is also involved with expanding the service offerings of the company, learning all aspects of new technology such as the use of laser scanning and UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) equipment for survey measurements. He has also served as an expert witness for several court cases related to boundary issues during his career. Jamey Coleman is the general operations manager for GeoSurvey, managing all surveying operations for the company. He has over 23 years of experience in land surveying, and has worked for GeoSurvey, Ltd. since its inception in 1996. Jamey has extensive experience in all aspects of land surveying including detailed boundary analysis, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, title report analysis and project management. He regularly deals with clients for new proposals and for final delivery of completed surveys. Jamey began his career in land surveying in 1991 in Marietta, Georgia. He is a graduate of The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. He started working for GeoSurvey in November 1996 as Senior Project Manager, scheduling jobs, training and supervising the field crews, and directing project technicians. In 1998, he obtained his registration as a Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia. In October, 2000, Jamey became partner and COO of the company. Along with producing some of Georgia’s most innovative and appealing surveys, Jamey is committed to seeing that clients of GeoSurvey receive accurate and timely land surveying services. Jamey obtained his registration as a Land Surveyor in Alabama in 2007 and North Carolina in 2010. He loves to spend time with his wife and four children along with working on his farm, hunting, fishing and teaching in the children’s ministry at his church. Valerie Batchelder, our Office Manager, leads a two person support team that handles all of our administrative tasks and general office management. Valerie, along with her assistant, Christy Tucker, manage all administrative and human resource functions for the company supporting the owners, managers, and all field personnel. Valerie has worked for GeoSurvey since 2007. Prior to working for GeoSurvey, she worked for a land surveying firm in Gainesville, Florida for five years. David Hester is a Vice President and Senior Survey Project Manager for GeoSurvey. David began his land surveying career with GeoSurvey in 1997 after graduating from Kennesaw State University. David has gained valuable experience while working in positions of increasing responsibility with GeoSurvey, Ltd. David assists with the daily management of office and field resources within the company and also assists with drawing reviews and quality control. He has extensive working knowledge of ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Boundary and Topographic Surveys, as well as the preparation of legal documentations and title reports for real estate transactions. Gene Etris is a Survey Project Manager for GeoSurvey. He manages many projects related to utility, infrastructure, and hydrographic mapping. Gene joined GeoSurvey, Ltd. in October, 1999, and progressed through all field positions quickly. He directed a survey crew for six years, collecting and analyzing survey data for several large projects, including a complete boundary and topographic survey of the Yerkes Primate Center at Emory University. He then worked in the office as a survey technician for one year, learning the process of preparing survey documents and the analysis of title reports. Gene has completed surveys for Lockheed Martin, including the F-22 Raptor Testing and Painting Centers. Craig is a Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Georgia and has served as Senior Project Manager and Construction Manager for GeoSurvey, Ltd. since 2007. He has experience in the preparation of all surveys, from ALTA/ACSM standard surveys, as well as Topographic, Boundary and Route Surveys. He handles the daily management of various surveying projects including the coordination of all field and office personnel associated with those projects and all construction related projects.
