Additionally, he innovatively designed high-performance Delaunay TIN triangulation systems crucial for terrain format production, showcasing his knack for solving intricate coding problems. Peele also played an instrumental role in designing the RUGUD project file format using SQL databases and was integral during the reverse-engineering process of the Urban and Underground Model Generator (U2MG) component to enhance interior generation. From 2013 to 2016, he took on the responsibility of technical lead and guided program managers as RUGUD transitioned into DTRA services. Among his notable contributions is the development of the Layered Terrain Format (LTF), a synthetic runtime environment engineered for high-resolution terrain analysis on limited devices. Under his leadership, LTF expanded to include features such as collision detection and radio-frequency propagation models and provided vital support to clients like NASA’s Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate and West Point.
