My name is Geno Rubeis. I am a strength and conditioning coach in Gainesville, FL. I specialize in power and rotational sports, for example: golf, baseball, Olympic weightlifting. I am a lifelong athlete and have dedicated my education and practice to helping others train, condition, heal and prepare themselves to be their best athletic self. Every fitness professional has a philosophy on how they train people. My philosophy is to keep my clients healthy and playing their sport better for longer. Part of that philosophy is to work with the individual's limitations to improve on them and ultimately remove them. It is important to find out what those limitations are, whether it stems from injuries, lack of mobility, or not knowing how to use their body. My goal is to reduce, improve, and ultimately eliminate those limitations – not just work around them. Training is only a small part of our lives – something that should add to and enhance our lives – not be the end-all be-all. I understand that my clients are taking time out of their day to train. My responsibility is to make their session enjoyable and beneficial. My clients leave knowing that they did something to better their lives. It is my responsibility to earn the time that they spend training with me. When a client enjoys and looks forward to their time in the gym, it creates an even more beneficial training effect, and motivates the individual to continue what they are doing. I work specifically with athletes in power- and rotational-sports – including golf, Olympic weightlifting and baseball in order to help them perform at their peak.
