About Genesco Genesco Inc., a Nashville-based specialty retailer, sells footwear, headwear, sports apparel and accessories in more than 2,690 retail stores and leased departments through the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and Germany, principally under the names Journeys, Journeys Kidz, Schuh, Schuh Kids, Little Burgundy, Lids, Locker Room by Lids, Johnston & Murphy, and on internet websites Bob Dennis was named chairman of Genesco in April 2010, adding to his existing responsibilities as president and chief executive officer. Mimi Vaughn was named Genesco’s senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer in February 2015. Since 2009, she served as Genesco's senior vice president of strategy and shared services and previously served as a senior vice president of strategy and business development since September 2003. Prior to joining the Company in 2003, Vaughn was executive vice president of business development and marketing and acting chief financial officer for Link2Gov Corporation in Nashville. From 1993 to 1999, she was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, based in Atlanta. An elected member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Alpha Theta, she received a bachelor of science degree in foreign service and international economics from Georgetown University magna cum laude and earned a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School where she graduated with distinction. Vaughn serves as a director on the boards of the University School of Nashville, the YWCA of Middle Tennessee and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s Women’s Fund. President, Lids Sports Group; Senior Vice President, Genesco Inc. David Baxter was appointed president of Lids Sports Group and a senior vice president of Genesco in June 2016. Baxter’s career spans multiple segments of the sports and licensed apparel industry. From 2006 to 2014, he served as president, Sports Licensed Division, adidas/Reebok. Following the acquisition of Reebok by adidas, he was responsible for overseeing all of adidas' and Reebok’s sports licensed business with the NBA, MLS, NHL, WNBA, and NCAA partners. Starting in 2010, he also served as vice president, Sports Performance, adidas America. He joined Reebok in March 2001 as senior vice president and chief operating officer of OnField before being promoted to president of OnField in October 2002. With the merger of Reebok’s two apparel groups, OnField and Reebok Apparel, in October 2003, he was named to the position of president of Reebok Apparel. Chief Executive Officer, Genesco Branded Group Senior Vice President, Genesco Inc. Jonathan D. Caplan was appointed senior vice president of the Company in December 2003, adding to his current responsibilities as chief executive officer of Genesco’s Branded Group and president of the Johnston & Murphy division, positions he has held since 2002. A footwear industry veteran, Caplan joined Genesco from Hi-Tec Sports North America, where he served as president and chief executive officer from 1998 to 2002. In addition, he was with the Stride Rite Corporation from 1992 to 1997 where he was president of its Children’s Group, then later president of its Keds Footwear division. Prior to joining Stride Rite, he worked with Genesco from 1982 to 1992 in a variety of executive roles, including president of the Company’s Laredo/Code West boot division. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Caplan also holds a master of business administration degree from Vanderbilt University. Roger Sisson joined Genesco in 1994 as assistant general counsel and corporate secretary. He was promoted to legal counsel and corporate secretary in 1995, and corporate secretary and general counsel in 1996. Sisson was named vice president in November 2003 and promoted to senior vice president in October 2006. . Prior to joining Genesco, he was affiliated with the Nashville office of Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry PLC, where he practiced corporate and securities law. Parag Desai was named Genesco’s senior vice president of strategy and shared services in December 2014. Desai brings to the Company more than 18 years of experience developing strategies for businesses given changes in consumer behavior, channels and technology. He spent 14 years with McKinsey & Company, including seven years as a partner, where he was part of the firm's global retail leadership team and a core member of the consumer practice both in the Americas and in Australia. In addition, Desai held business development and technology positions at Outpace Systems and Booz Allen & Hamilton. He received a bachelor of business administration degree from George Washington University, summa cum laude, and a master of business administration degree from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he graduated as a Tuck Scholar. Paul Williams has served in a variety of accounting management roles. He joined the Company in 1977 as a junior accountant and was promoted to senior accountant in 1980. In 1993, he was named director of corporate accounting and financial reporting where he served until 1995 when he was promoted to the position of chief accounting officer. He is responsible for financial reporting, interpretation and implementation of the Company’s accounting standards and management of operational accounting functions. Additionally, in October 2006 Williams was named vice president of Genesco.
