The Future Factory Story
Future Factory was not so much “founded” as it was “codified.” The Future Factory team had worked together to build and grow American LifeCare, a leading managed health care firm. In those early days—not yet an entity dedicated to inventing and growing smart businesses—the team simply worked together under a shared philosophy about what makes businesses great. But when American LifeCare successfully “graduated” from their portfolio in 2004 to become a part of a larger managed health care entity, the team formally chartered Future Factory, and codified its intention to bring brilliant ideas, committed leadership, and sufficient capital to the creation and management of start-ups. Since that time, Future Factory has created companies that were ahead of their time, and successfully managed them to exit.
Future Factory is led by Founder and Managing Director Ed Michael Reggie, who creates and aligns the team around the company’s vision. Kristin Hutchins provides executive management to the enterprise. Christine Miller serves as the company’s CFO, and Gregory Vaughan serves as CIO and technology leader. Together the team identifies and works with subject matter experts in the industries where they participate, and recruits business leadership as necessary to guide the fledgling businesses in their portfolio.
