FUSION MISSIONS, INC., FORT MYERS

Sandi Kistner has a deep passion for missions and reaching people since she went on her first short-term missions trip in 1999. In her 20 years of ministry, she has taken over 32 trips, connecting with 1,000+ missionaries and 100+ pastors. Sandi spent time on staff at two different mega churches in Southwest Florida as Missions Director, holding her BA in Theology, before devoting her time solely to Fusion Missions. "The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed" -Hudson Taylor It was my first missions trip to Honduras in 1999 where I had an encounter with God that forever changed my heart, my desire to know him deeper and serve him with my life. Almost 13 years ago, in 2004, I was sitting in the living room of a friend when God gave me a vision for a missions ministry. It didn’t make sense at the time since I was on staff as Missions Pastor doing what I loved. But I made notes and tucked the whole idea away. Five years later God would remind me of that vision, I felt him saying, "Sandi, its time." That word from God gave me a renewed passion and determination to get this ministry going, but one month later I hit a brick wall. Like Moses I didn't feel equipped for the call, unsure that God had called the right person for the task. A few years later, after a missions trip to Africa, God encouraged me to trust His provisions, not my inabilities. God was leading me on a journey to launch Fusion Missions. -Sandi Kistner Upon my return home from Africa I began the process of laying the foundation of what is now known as Fusion Missions Inc. It’s been a whirlwind of trials, challenges, and amazing wins. Several pastors and missionaries tell me how this type of ministry is essential, yet missing in the church. We are running full speed ahead helping pastors and churches fulfill the great commission with the greatest impact. Fusion Missions Today Today, Fusion Missions is growing at a steady speed. We have recently expanded our board to eight members. We have a part-time staff and volunteers as part of our team with hopes to expand! We have been developing our mission’s strategies at two churches and one Beta Test Church with great success. In the fall of 2017, we will be hosting a Missions Leadership Training, inviting pastors, board members, missions directors and mission trip leaders to attend. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT FUSION MISSIONS Before Sandi Kistner and Fusion Missions arrived on the scene, our church’s mission’s efforts were in shambles. We had no missions team, no policies, gave barely a few dollars to some missionaries and organizations, and had some frustrated people in our church who wanted more.  I wanted to give them more but really didn’t know what to do and which direction to take. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT MISSION TRIPS Don't take our word for it! See what people are saying about Fusion MIssions! Short term missions trips pushed me forward in my relationship with God by pulling me gently out of my comfort zone and stretching me in new ways as a leader an as a servant. As a woman who's been a Christ-follower for many years, it was easy to settle into a life where I only said yes to things that I felt I was ready for or that I knew I could handle. But God started slowly pulling me out of that when I went on my first short-term missions trip over three years ago. During that first one and the next two after, God challenged me to get uncomfortable. And He continues to offer me opportunities to get uncomfortable for Him as He leads me into new endeavors of service. I don't ever want to settle for "comfortable" when it comes to serving Him! Seeing missionaries living out their faith, day in and day out changed my own heart. Before the trip, the things I was seeking were more about God increasing my standard of living and pursuit of the American Dream instead of asking for His will and grace in seeking His Kingdom. It’s one thing to know about missionaries; it’s quite another to work beside them. Short Term Missions have drastically changed my faith in a significant way. For me, there is something about being on a missions trip that completely disconnects you with the world and puts you in direct connection with God. We spend so much of our walk flirting with the world, but missions trips tend to realign that and puts everything into fresh perspective. I have been on three mission trips in the last three years and each trip God does something incredible in my life. My 1st trip was all about perspective – living outside of myself – more of him, less of me. My 2nd trip was completely about dependence on God instead of man, I forged a new trust with my Heavenly Father. My 3rd trip – I recognized my true identity in Christ, that I am a daughter first and foremost. I experienced God’s love in a pure and tangible way. Mission Trips are known for forcing us out of our comfort zone and completely into God’s arms. I would recommend anyone to take a trip – you truthfully never know what God wants to show you! You will typically have to battle fears, lies and negativity before a trip, but it is because the enemy wants nothing more to hold us back from experiencing the fullness of God. We are called to GO, so GO and make disciples – share what God has done in your life with the least of these and carry light, hope and love in your heart! Going on the mission's trip to Africa allowed me to experience God in a way like I never have before! Eliminating all of the distractions and focusing on God for two weeks helped me receive a breakthrough in my finances, relationships, and priorities! Don't miss an incredible, life-changing opportunity!
