Fruit Fool - We chose the name Fruit Fool as it symbolizes our foolishness in leaving successful corporate careers, our foolish love of fruit, and first and foremost because we believe everyone should be comfortable to foolishly enjoy a fresh peach or a mango, messy as it may be! The Company, Fruit Fool, is a reincarnation of Caribbean Gold Delivery Inc., a boutique delivery service that was founded by Iftah Mashav and ran by Iftah and Yariv Mashav in South Florida for eight years serving 400 customers with their weekly produce needs. After ten years of working on a graduate degree in Physics, serving as a consultant for US News & World Report, a two year stint of Entrepreneurship in India, and IT Consulting in Washington DC, Iftah has found that all over the world individuals have difficulty maintaining the fresh menu they want in their homes. And so, Iftah returned to Miami to launch a new e-commerce business to improve the availability of good produce to individuals seeking it. In other words we have come to terms that after all the education and corporate experience we are simply fools for fruit or fruitfools. We hope to have an office in every town, and help America get the produce they want fresher and tastier while allowing farmers to get better prices for their produce. Fruitfool.com, consists of a small team of sales professionals and agriculture experts. In addition, a vast network of growers, importers, and agriculture consultants work with Fruit Fool to help us maintain the quality produce and knowledge that our customers have come to expect form us. was founded while Iftah was attending college, seeking degrees in Economics and Physics. The service was a success and the community of customers grew by word of mouth to make a nice startup by the time Iftah graduated college. Iftah then moved on to pursue a graduate degree in Georgetown University, managing the business with his brother, Yariv Mashav. In 2006 the brothers have decided that the nice little business they built is taking too big a toll on their academic efforts and decided to move on to pursue careers in their field of study. After six years of consulting work, Iftah has decided to return to Miami and re-launch the fruit delivery service, calling it Fruit Fool.
