Friends of Young Musicians' Camp, Inc., established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to supporting music education initiatives and offering scholarships in South Florida. Founded in the summer of 2000, this esteemed program annually enrolls over 350 students, many of whom benefit from financial aid due to the organization's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in musical training. Situated at the acclaimed University of Miami Frost School of Music, the camp provides an inspiring platform for students to explore jazz, classical chamber music, and musical theater under the mentorship of some of South Florida's most talented musicians. The organization was officially incorporated on November 12, 2004, with its headquarters located in Miami, FL at 12241 S.W. 103 Avenue. Friends of Young Musicians' Camp maintains a commitment to transparency and community engagement as evidenced by their official status filings and recent corporate activities, like the last amendment recorded on February 18, 2005, and their annual report submission for the year 2024. The leadership team consists of dedicated individuals, including Yvette M. Fojo as Director/President (DP) alongside Directors Alice Goldhagen and Sarah N. Salz, who collectively work towards fulfilling the organization's mission of nurturing artistic talent among young musicians across varying socio-economic backgrounds.
