Fraser Group was founded in 1989 by Ken Fraser, currently President of the firm. A predecessor firm - Essert Fraser - operated from 1984 to 1988. Our oldest industry study, a pricing survey called Market View began in 1985 and has operated continuously since then. The early 1990's saw the introduction of annual market share and unit cost benchmarking studies which form a major part of our current product line. In 2001, Fraser Group instituted the first of a number of claim studies gathering data on mortality, disability and catastrophic drug expenses in the employee benefit sector. Since 1995, Fraser Group has developed considerable expertise relating to the mixed public/private system of drug insurance in Canada. Fraser Group research on this issue has been used by the insurance industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the Government of Canada and non-profit organizations. Both Senate and House of Commons sub-committees have invited Fraser Group to make presentations. Prior to 1984, Ken worked as an underwriter and market manager for a Canadian insurer. His final position there was Marketing Director responsible for pricing and product development in U.S. Group Operations. is a Research Manager at Fraser Group and is the Project Manager for a number of annual studies on market share, profitability and unit costs. She has been with the organization for over 10 years and has earned the CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation in addition to her MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. is a Project Manager at Fraser Group. She received her Masters Degree from McGill University and has earned the CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation.
