The Martins, Bruce and Christine reside in Jonesville, Florida where they have been operating Foxshire Grooming for 4 plus years. Feeling the growing pains of a successful small business in October 2015 they opened a new salon in Alachua, Fl. Combined, they have over forty years of cumulative experience in the care of domestic and exotic animals and birds. They have worked with many different varieties in various grooming, handling and training capacities. They are consumate professionals, and treat their animals (as well as yours) with love and respect. Christine is from Pennsylvania. She began her career in equine grooming and training under the tutelage of her mother as well as a number of local professionals. She and her family have ridden and shown horses and her daughter achieved a number of awards and trophies. She went on to apprentice in dog grooming, for both show and pet owners, as well as handling in the show ring. She is familiar with all breeds, however has an affinity and a talent for hand stripping and has gained notoriety and prestige with the terrier breeders and show kennels. She can be seen in the grooming tent at shows frequently or ringside with the handlers. "Lions and Tigers", well no, but she did have a facility for bears, mountain lions and other exotics which were either rehabilitated or retired with dignity. Christine worked for many years for other owned grooming establishments. However, ultimately it was her goal to bring her compassion and years of experience to her own operation. Thus Foxshire Grooming was founded. Foxshire Grooming and its proprietors, Bruce and Christine Martin, are pleased to bring their services to Alachua and the surrounding areas.
