After foudning Fournier Enterprises in 1991, Ron Fournier built his company into one of the most well respected names in the coachbuilding and metal shaping community. Already one of the most accomplished fabricators and metal shapers, Ron began offering classes, tools, and a wealth of information along with his metal shaping services. Over the years he trained thousands of individuals, from hobbyists to professionals, while still undertaking a variety of restorations and custom one-off builds. His career is well documented, not only in the many cars built and projects completed, but also in his books and series of videos dedicated to expanding the trade. In 2014, after 50+ years in the business, Ron decided to retire. He passed the torch to his then apprentice, Jeff Fournier. Jeff spent 3 years working alongside Ron on everything from small projects to full body builds. Their last two projects together, the restoration of a 1951 Allard K2 and a complete re-body of a 1936 Freestone & Webb Bentley were very well received. Jeff continued to build on the reputaion of Fournier Enteprises and Ron Fournier by offering custom coachbuilding and fabrication services, as well as expanding the class offerings and training originally offered by Ron. Fournier Enterprises is focused not only on continuing Ron's vision, but also on expanding the scope shop projects. In 2015, this increase in work load prompted a move from longtime home Shelby Twp., MI to a larger shop in Mt. Clemens, MI. The new shop offers more room for shop projects, equipment, and classes. At any given time you will see anything from fully coachbuilt bodies under contruction to architectural projects.   We are always looking for new and unusual projects to expand our scope and challenge our skills. If you would like to see what is currently in the shop check us out on Jeff Fournier has been working with his hands and building things since he picked up body work in high school. After attending Ohio Technical College in Cleveland to be certified in bodywork, he spent many years in production body shops and full time restoration and custom shops. He performed both body and paint work, and was lucky enough to work with many 'old school' body guys and metal men who were kind enough to pass along their knowledge and experience. Along the way he was trained in custom upholstery and trim work from a colleague in a restoration shop. After completing paint and upholstery work for Ron Fournier's personal roadster, Ron hired Jeff to apprentice as a metal shaper and coachbuilder. He spent three years with Ron learning the trade. Today, Jeff is the owner of Fournier Enterprises and handles the fabrication and coachbuilding in the shop. In addition to managing the shop, he also teaches the classes offered and enjoys exploring new ideas for the business.
