Foundation Christian Academy Parent Advisory Committees How can you best serve? Are you an organizer or are you great at assisting where you are needed? Do you like budget planning and fundraising? Put your talents to work! What are you passionate about? Everyone has a favorite FCA event! Is it Field Day, Calypso Fest, or the Book Fair? What do you enjoy? Reading to children in the library, making and playing games with our young children, or serving lunch with a smile? Parent involvement is essential to the success of FCA and allows us to provide our children with opportunities to grow outside the regular classroom. At Foundation Christian Academy, where parents and teachers work together to create a “village” for our children, we want every parent who desires to be active in the school to have that opportunity. Visit the PAC table at fall orientation to sign up for all committees in which you’d like to serve. Please keep in mind that if you sign up, we are counting on your support. Your name will be passed along to the chairperson of each committee. If you would like to chair a committee, put a * beside your name when you sign up to help. FCA students and their dads campout in tents on the school campus. About 3 moms generally help with the cookout shopping and set up. Parents have the opportunity to read to the students. You may volunteer to help once a week or 1-2 days a month. Tuition funds a large portion of what it costs to educate our students but it does not fully cover everything it takes to build and run an exceptional school. Foundation is greatly impacted by the generous gifts of our supporters. Spiritual growth and character development opportunities, academic and extra-curricular programs, campus and facility enhancements all benefit from donations made by these special people and organizations. Thank you to our donors for your continued support as we seek to provide a high-quality education in a loving Christian environment and to make a profound and lasting impact on students and families. Every now and again an opportunity comes along that you know is right for its time. You know in your heart, that it’s the right thing to do. Vision 20/20 is one of those opportunities. We truly are pioneers embarking on a new and incredible journey. With our faith to guide us and our mission to sustain us, we will build a legacy to shape and inspire our children and our children’s children for generations to come. I am thrilled to announce to you that the Foundation Christian Academy Board of Trustees has approved a 5 year campaign to dramatically expand and greatly enhance our facilities. This starts with the purchase of an additional 18 acres from the Bell Shoals church giving our students a beautiful 25 acre campus. This will include a new state of the art high school and middle school complete with a contemporary student development center, Panther Canteen, modern science lab and elevated bible theater with multimedia capabilities. Phase I of this project is to develop and build the Centerplex. We can break ground in the spring of 2015 provided our FCA family and our community will link arms with us in raising 1.5 million dollars in the next few weeks. To show our commitment and confidence in this campaign, the eight members of the Board of Trustees are personally funding a $750,000 dollar for dollar matching challenge. I excited to announce this strategic expansion and to ask you for your urgent consideration helping this vision become reality. My hope is that you will become a Panther Partner by committing a five year pledge that will give us the confidence to have a shovel in the ground. Please be generous and join us today in this effort so we can get started on Phase I of our grand vision for the FCA student body. The new high school building is so nice and has cutting edge classrooms that make learning fun. And the teachers are amazing and helpful. Every now and again an opportunity comes along that you know is right for its time. You know in your heart, that it’s the right thing to do. Vision 20/20 is one of those opportunities.
