About The Florida Tax Guy When I first moved to Florida my first order of business was to service my tax and accounting clients in New York. As I did this my goal was to generate additional income for my growing family. So, I marketed my tax services to local businesses in South Florida. While my tax business was slowly growing I took interest in real estate. As you may recall in 2004-2005 everyone was interested in real estate. That being said, I went to Gold Coast and took my Real estate agent class and later passed the agent exam. I made many friends who also were involved in the business of real estate. One thing I learned very quickly was that I was not the greatest Realtor as I have always been more of a numbers guy. Anyway, back to my story, so I learned I was not the greatest at marketing real estate, however many of my colleagues often came up to me and were asking me questions about income taxes. The questions included tax situations regarding their clients, income tax issues they had and of course what ideas I could give them to lower their taxes. Over the past several years I have worked with and continue to help many real estate professionals throughout south Florida. It was just recently when I decided to focus more attention on Realtor’s and hence the birth of Florida Tax Guy! I am looking forward to working with real estate professionals throughout Florida and helping you keep more of your hard earned dollars! I am an IRS appointed Enrolled Agent (EA) which means not only can I prepare and file tax returns (both personal and corporate) and provide strategic tax planning solutions, I can also represent my clients in front of the IRS. I have been an accountant and tax professional since 1998 and my firm Byck Financial Services, Inc currently services approximately 1250 clients (personal and businesses) in 27 different states. So anyway, enough about me, how can I help you? We have been successful for two main reasons, relationships and trust. We will treat you just as how we would want to be treated. Trusting your accountant is imperative and without trust there is no relationship. The name Florida Tax Guy is simply the name of our website as the initial Realtor marketing is being done in Florida. An IRS audit can be a very stressful experience. However, we have a lot of experience representing people in front of the IRS. In fact as a CTRS (Certified Tax Resolution Specialists) many other accountants, CPA’s and Enrolled Agents ask me to represent their clients during an audit. That being said, the best way to handle an audit s to just avoid it completely. There are many ways to avoid an audit, these include, filing timely, keeping good records and for those that are self employed, make certain you have the correct structure.
