Florida Keys Celtic Festival, Inc. (FKCF), incorporated on June 6, 2013, is a Delaware Nonprofit Organization based in Marathon, Monroe County, Florida. Established to promote and celebrate Celtic culture through music, heritage, and community activities, FKCF organizes an annual two-day festival that attracts thousands of attendees to City Park, Marathon. Known for its vibrant lineup featuring internationally renowned bands, highland games, sheepherding dogs, and a diverse range of cultural vendors, the festival offers a unique experience with its 'Celtic Village' showcasing traditional crafts, foods, and activities. The event also includes family-friendly entertainment such as Irish and Scottish dancing, piping and drumming performances, and children-focused Glen activities like face painting. In addition to festivities, FKCF demonstrates social responsibility by addressing food insecurity among Middle Keys children through their Hammock House After School Care and Just for Fun summer camps, providing a nurturing environment at no cost. These programs focus on the holistic development of kids covering emotional, intellectual, artistic, and spiritual growth. Post-Hurricane Irma recovery efforts in September 2017 exemplified the community’s resilience, as the festival continued its mission of bringing cultural awareness and joy to the region. FKCF is led by Debra A. Maconaughey (President), Jodi Gonzales (Secretary/Treasurer), and George Calder (Vice President). Its commitment to fostering connections across cultures makes it a noteworthy event in the Florida Keys, inviting participation from vendors, exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees alike.
