WHO WE ARE The Florida Frontiersmen, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit historical preservation organization dedicated “… to preserve the skills of our first settlers, pioneers, and mountain men in their use of muzzle loading firearms, the equipment and accouterments that accompanied such used…. It is a family oriented and open to all people who share an interest in history. Club members volunteer throughout the community and state to teach about early American history and some of its material culture. The Florida Frontiersmen Inc.’s property is home of the Alafia River Rendezvous one of oldest and largest pre-1840 living history events in the U.S. each January. The Florida Frontiersmen, Inc. meets monthly for black powder competitive events, educational seminars and fellowship. There are competitive events available for men, women and juniors. Scores are kept and awards are given in monthly, quarterly and yearly in all classifications. There are three covered ranges, and other muzzleloading only ranges available.
