FLORIDA FLIGHT CENTER LLC, BRADENTON

Business Owner Its been a couple days since my check ride and want to thank you for getting me ready for the check ride. I had zero jet time and you taught me in a manner that made it fun, so much better then the simulator schools that I had been going to. What a difference doing it in the plane made on check ride day. Business Owner Once again Florida Flight Center optimized my training in an extremely professional and effective manner. Luis’s skill as an instructor helped me tremendously as he has outstanding systems knowledge and up to date information of FAA check ride nuances including specific new stall recovery procedures and techniques. Additionally, the benefit of their professional approach helped me beyond the flight training as an aircraft owner/ operator as Luis’s in depth industry knowledge provided maintenance advice, fuel card information, market updates and acquisition guidance over the training course period. Great training done in the right environment; I very strongly recommend Luis and Florida Flight Center whatever your Citation experience level may be. Business Owner Truly appreciate all your help, advice and expertise as it relates to owning and operating a jet. The best part of the whole experience was the flexibility with schedules, customized training program based on my learning curve, training techniques and consistent training reinforcement even over lunch . I had a very good experience with FFC! My instructor, Erik Aibel, was very knowledgeable and had a personality that made the experience even more productive. I had not flown much in IMC recently and the jets I had flown in the military, and since, all had pretty basic systems. No Flight Director experience. Erik identified my specific training needs early to allow more emphasis in those areas. That approach helped me a great deal. I am extremely pleased with the process and training experience in all respects! Thank you/ Rich Dawe 61.58 Single Pilot Exemption (SPE) and ATP with Florida Flight Center Luis is the director of Florida Flight Center and can be reached at 941-376-3500. I look forward to getting back to the task of mastering this beast (Citation Jet) tomorrow. I did want to mention that I think you are doing a fantastic job of teaching. You truly know how to get the information across and how to develop confidence in your students… Dr. Lee Schroeder from Clearwater, FL to Luis R. Savigne Director of Training Florida Flight Center I would recommend Luis Savigne ATP,CFI-I,MEI-I as a first choice for Citation training for Initial type ratings, 61.58 checks and single pilot exemptions. Initially I read about him in a “Citation Jet Pilots” Forum from several of his previous students. He received glowing recommendations. Since I am a busy Orthopedic surgeon I needed to find an instructor who could work around my unusual schedule. With Luis, he was more than willing to work within my time frame to train me for a 61.58 check and a single pilot waiver. The training that we received was intense, thorough and done with a systematic approach. The training manuals were up to date and the visual aids informative. After our class in the mornings we would train in our own planes or one could be leased from him. The flight training was equally intense, thorough and systematic. At the end of the training I felt completely prepared and it has helped make me a safer and more competent pilot. I am looking forward to next year’s class. After more than 20 years of flying, I obtained my first two type ratings in April and May of this yearŠ CE-500 (SP) and CE-525S. My training at Florida Flight Center was superb. I could not allocate a block of time to do my training but Luis was very accommodating and willing to work with my schedule so I could complete the program in a timely manner. The training and training documents were excellent and the material was presented in a clear and concise manner. The flight training was overwhelming at the beginning to say the least, but Luis stuck with me and taught me how to achieve mastery. Because of the many similarities between the CE-500 and the CE-525, it was definitely advantageous to do the trainings simultaneously. I would highly recommend the experience to any pilot considering the thrill of transitioning to jet aircraft and I look forward to coming back to FFC for my recurrent training next year. I trained with Florida Flight Center during the Spring, 2015, and obtained my first type rating, in the CE-500 (Cessna Citation 500/501) with Luis Savigne, Chief Pilot for Florida Flight Center and also obtained my CE-525 (Cessna Citation Jet or ‘CJ’) type rating as well. I really enjoyed my training which was conducted in the ‘real world’- in an actual airplane, with all of the associated distractions and burdens of ‘real airplane’ flying- in the Simulator, you don’t even learn how to open the door to a Citation, let alone actually operate one- that is why the FAA mandates that simulator-only type-ratings require a subsequent 25 hour ‘ride along’ period in the ‘real’ plane, before you can actually use your new type rating. With Florida Flight Review you can actually fly your Cessna Citation home, after completing your training. You can also do so safely and competently. I can honestly recommend Florida Flight Center, if you are a serious, real-world pilot whose time is valuable. While at Virginia Aviation I became a charter Captain and Chief Flight instructor in charge of 14 Airplanes and 10 Flight Instructors while rewriting training courses and helping a university get their Aviation program started. I also received my ATP certificate. In August of 2005 I started working with Falwell Aviation flying as Captain in their corporate jets. I received type ratings in the CE500 and BE300 continuing to fly with them until April 2011 when I accepted the Chief Pilot position at Virginia Aviation. I held this position until Virginia Aviation was sold in 2014. I then became a Contract Pilot flying with Bon Air Brokerage where I received a type rating in the CE-525. I am currently flying numerous aircraft for the company as well as helping aircraft owners by providing flight instruction to obtain pilot certificates, remain current, or transition to larger aircraft. In my career I have accumulated over 7000 of flight time in Single and Multi-Engine aircraft 3 type rating and helped over 50 people earn their pilot certificates.
