Florida Air Services was founded in 1995 with 3 employees and two service vehicles. Today, by offering quality workmanship, efficient response, and competitive rates we have grown to 13 employees and 8 service technicians. Florida Air Services, Inc. was founded on the principles of Quality and Integrity. We are proud of our record of customer satisfaction and honesty in all dealings. Gerry entered the HVAC industry in 1971 as a parts expediter for Tampa Armature Works. After gaining experience as both a compressor rebuilder and service technician, Gerry was hired to his first Management position as the Service Manager of The Drake Corporation. Gerry performed in this function from 1977 until 1993 managing a crew of up to 18 technicians. Gerry joined Tapouni Mechanical in 1993 as Service Manager and quickly rebuilt a profitable division. In 1995 Gerry began Florida Air Services, Inc. with only 3 employees, including 2 service technicians. Today FAS has grown to 13 employees and an annual volume in excess of $2 million. Kris has a vast professional background, including experience in accounting, commercial credit analysis, and a former owner / operator of a HVAC & Refrigeration firm. Kris joined FAS in 2004 and is responsible for all accounting, billing and HR/Administrative duties. Dan has over 15 years experience in field service and repairs of all types of HVAC systems and controls. Dan has been through Johnson Controls Metasys factory training and is a factory certified installer and technician. Dan also has a background in Liebert computer room environmental systems as well as extensive experience in systems service, installation and retrofit. Dan has worked with us at Florida Air Services since 1998. Doug has over 25 years of experience in Sales and Customer Service management. Doug has spent the last 6 years in the HVAC industry, bringing custom solutions to clients that fit their individual maintenance needs. Doug is always looking for ways to bring more value to customers for Florida Air Services. Florida Air Services has a policy of only hiring the best, and our technicians are no exception to that rule. Our technicians average 17 years of field experience and are regarded as the best in the industry by many of their peers. We are proud to have on staff a Liebert factory trained computer room environment specialist, Trane certified technicians and AAB Variable Speed Drive specialists. Andrew is a relatively new member of the Florida Air Services team joining us in early 2011 and has quickly proven himself to be a great asset to our team. Andrew is a Florida State Certified Air Conditioning Contractor and has previously owned his own business. Andrew has over 20 years' experience in all types of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Charles has been with Florida Air Services since 2010 and holds a Florida State Certified Mechanical Contractors License. Charles has worked in general construction and management in the mechanical/construction industry and has maintained, installed and repaired all types and sizes of A/C and refrigeration systems as well as ice plants. Ron has been with Florida Air Services since 2008 and is an excellent installer as well as a highly qualified service technician. Ron has extensive experience on variable frequency drives for both service and installation. He is also experienced in DX HVAC as well as all phases of chilled water systems. Tom has been with Florida Air Services since 2007. Tom is the lead technician on one of our major large accounts and manages that account extremely well. He works on DX and chilled water systems as well as refrigeration and ice machines. Florida Air Services is proud to have this Navy veteran as part of our service team.
