FLAGLER EYE CARE, INC., MIAMI

Visual memory is the ability to process and remember a fast moving, complex picture of people and things. It is very important in basketball, hockey, and soccer, where the game quickly moves up the field. Visual memory helps you know where your teammates and opponents are positioned. To improve visual memory, look at a magazine page for a second, then turn the page. Try to reconstruct the images you just saw. When you have mastered the exercise, allow 5 seconds between seeing the image and reconstructing it. Flagler Eye Care is a locally owned and operated family business established in 1950 by William E. Johnston. His son, R. Scott Johnston and his wife Maria Cristina still operate the family business since 1981. We offer fast, friendly service with state of the art equipment, where quality and comfort is our number one priority. We also offer only the best in contact lens technology to provide We have contacts available to target specific eye problems like dry eyes, astigmatism, difficulty reading, and eye diseases like keratoconus. We are focused on taking the time to give you the best comfort and vision, not just adequate comfort and vision. Contacts are constantly being improved for more comfort and better vision. Soft contact lenses are made of soft, flexible plastics that allow oxygen to pass through to the cornea. Soft contact lenses may be easier to adjust to and are more comfortable than rigid gas permeable lenses. Newer soft lens materials include silicone-hydrogels to provide more oxygen to your eye while you wear your lenses. The majority of soft contact lens wearers are prescribed some type of frequent replacement schedule. "Disposable," as defined by the FDA, means used once and discarded. With a true daily wear disposable schedule, a brand new pair of lenses is used each day. Some soft contact lenses are referred to as "disposable" by contact lens sellers, but actually, they are for frequent/planned replacement. With extended wear lenses, the lenses may be worn continuously for the prescribed wearing period (for example, 7 days to 30 days) and then thrown away. When you remove your lenses, make sure to clean and disinfect them properly before reinserting. The hybrid contact lens combines a rigid gas permeable center and a soft lens skirt into one unique "hybrid" lens. The rigid center corrects farsightedness, nearsightedness and astigmatism and delivers clear, high definition vision, even at night. The soft skirt surrounding the center provides the all-day comfort of a soft lens. With the index finger of the left hand, firmly hold the upper lashes (not the lid) to prevent blinking. Hold the bottom lid down with the middle finger of your right hand. Now focus your sight on a steady point using the opposite eye. Place the lens on the center of your cornea, not the side of your eye. Your contact lenses MUST be cleaned after wearing. Make sure your hands are clean and lint free. Carefully place the contact lens in the palm of your hand. Place three or four drops of a mutli-purpose solution on the contact lens and gently but firmly, rub in a straight back and forth motion for about ten seconds on each side. Then rinse both surfaces thoroughly with a forceful stream of the mutli-purpose solution. ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses are available by prescription only for vision correction. An eye care professional will determine whether contact lenses are right for you. Although rare, serious eye problems can develop while wearing contact lenses. To help avoid these problems, follow the wear and replacement schedule and the lens care instructions provided by your doctor. Do not wear lenses if you have an eye infection, or experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness or other eye problems. If one of these conditions occurs, contact your eye doctor immediately. For more information on proper wear, care and safety, talk to your eye care professional and ask for Patient Instruction Guide, call 1-800-843-2020 or visit acuvue.com. ***Helps protect against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye. WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long-term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors, such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography and cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-Blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-Blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts and other eye disorders. Consult your Eye Care Practitioner for more information. ACUVUE® 2 COLOURS™ Brand Contact Lenses are available with and without vision correction, so even people without a need for vision correction can wear them once they complete an eye exam, are properly fitted and have had the lenses prescribed by an eye care professional. Although rare, serious eye problems can develop while wearing contact lenses. To help avoid these problems, follow the wear and replacement schedule and the lens care instructions provided by your eye doctor. Do not wear contact lenses if you have an eye infection, or experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness or other eye problems. If one of these conditions occurs, contact your eye doctor immediately. You should never share your lenses with anyone else. For more information on proper wear, care and safety, talk to your eye care professional and ask for Patient Instruction Guide, call 1-800-843-2020 or visit acuvue.com.
