About Five Bugles Institute Mark is an Acting Lieutenant/Firefighter/Paramedic with Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue and has 28 years of combined fire and EMS experience. He is certified by the Florida State Fire College in Fire Officer I and II, Live Fire Training Instructor I, Fire Instructor III, Pump Operator, and Firesafety Inspector I and II. Mark is also certified by the National Board for Fire Service Professional Qualifications and is an approved National Fire Academy National Incident Management System instructor. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Norwich University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Mark has over 25 years of combined teaching experience in various fire and EMS disciplines. Rich is one of the founding instructors with Five Bugles Institute. He has over 20 years of experience with Fire and EMS and is Florida State Fire College certified in Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Live Fire Training Instructor I, Fire Safety Inspector I, and is a State Certified Pump Operator. Rich is equivalently certified by the National Board for Fire Service Professional Qualifications, a BLS Instructor for the American Heart Association, certified by the National Association of Emergency Medical Dispatchers, and a State of Florida EMS Dispatcher of the Year. Five Bugles Institute Mission Statement The mission of Five Bugles Institute is to provide excellence in fire service education in accordance with standards set forth by the Florida State Fire College, National Fire Protection Association, and State of Florida statutes. We will offer certification education in the areas of Fire Officer, Fire Investigation, Fire Inspection, Fire Instruction, and other course work in a manner consistent with the best traditions of the Fire Service.
