Founded in 1989 by Anthony Balasco, FIGURES TOY COMPANY began its journey as Figures Inc., focusing on the sale of collectible toys and action figures through various channels including print catalogs, magazine advertisements, and booths at collectible toy shows across New England. In 1993, under the same leadership, the company pivoted towards specializing in the production and sale of collectible wrestling merchandise. By 1998, following a partnership with Steve Sandberg, the venture was rebranded as FIGURES Toy Company. This marked a significant expansion into licensed products by obtaining licenses for manufacturing World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) replica belts. Progressing through the early 2000s, the company began producing WWE replica wrestling belts, Rey Mysterio masks and pants, belt buckles, and finger rings starting in 2001. In 2004, FIGURES Toy Company further expanded its product line with the launch of "classictvtoys.com", focusing on classic-style eight-inch action figures reminiscent of those from the 1970s. By 2012, this nostalgic journey continued as they initiated projects recreating classic KISS action figures, celebrating distinct eras in the iconic band's legacy. Since 2014, FIGURES Toy Company has expanded its intellectual property licenses to include a wide variety of characters and themes including DC Comics, Dukes of Hazzard, Evel Knievel, and others. These expansions mark the company’s consistent growth and dedication to diversifying its action figure offerings.
