Mr. Herrera served as a Director of Apollo Bancshares, Inc., and Apollo Bank. He has developed many projects throughout South Florida and the Caribbean. He is actively involved in the construction industry and served for three years as chairman of the Latin Builders Association which is the largest Hispanic association in Alberto Valencia serves as the Vice President of Fenix Contractors Inc. Mr. Valencia has an extremely diverse background in the construction industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering Degree, is a State of Florida Certified General Contractor, State of Florida Certified Roofing Contractor and is a certified building and roofing inspector. Mr. Valencia’s resume begins in his homeland of Colombia, where he began his construction career in the civil industry and continues to put his knowledge, experience and expertise into this rapidly changing industry. Alberto plays a key role in this firm and handles all aspects of land development from the conceptual stage through the final turn-key stage. He has also been involved in numerous large projects in the Caribbean as well. Carlos Herrera III is a Project Manager for Fenix Contractors Inc. Mr. Herrera was born and raised in and around the construction industry. He started his lengthy construction career as a mechanical contractor service assistant and now is directly involved in building and managing a diverse portfolio of properties, from commercial office buildings and multi-family developments, to single family custom homes. Carlos is a State of Florida Certified General Contractor, has an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management from Ashworth University and is also a LEED AP and GBC Certified. He is also well versed in building throughout the Caribbean.
